, I would like to extend Northvolt’s thanks to Commissioner 
Breton for the meeting during his visit to Stockholm on 11 October 2021. The 
Commissioner’s interest in European battery manufacturing and new European industrial 
projects with sustainability as guiding principle was much appreciated. 
 
Since the meeting, there have been new developments on one of the points that 
 
 raised, relating to challenges for the value chain’s European establishment.
