Meeting between Commission Representative and Cheniere Energy (May 2024)
Dear Secretariat General of the European Commission,
Under the right of access to documents in the EU treaties, as developed in Regulation 1049/2001, I am requesting documents which contain the following information:
All documentation (including but not limited to all email correspondence, attendance lists, agendas, background papers, transcripts, recordings and minutes/notes) relating to the meeting listed below:
1. Between Adam Romanowski, Cabinet member of Maroš Šefčovič, and Cheniere Energy on 14th May 2024.
I would prefer you to produce the documents on a rolling basis, rather than waiting until the full response is ready, and I would be pleased to receive an initial list of all documents as soon as possible.
Sincerely,
Georgia Oddie

Dear [email address],
Thank you for your prompt response. My apologies, I withdrew my duplicate access-to-documents request on the EASE system as I was under the impression that EASE and AsktheEU were separate workstreams and I did not want to create redundant work burdens. Had I known that withdrawing my 2024/5124 request on EASE would negate this application on this platform, I would not have withdrawn my request.
I am still interested in accessing the documents pertaining to the 14/05/2024 meeting between Adam Romanowski, Cabinet member of Maroš Šefčovič, and Cheniere Energy. I would be grateful if this application could still be considered.
Yours sincerely,
Georgia Oddie

Dear Secretariat General of the European Commission,
Please pass this on to the person who reviews confirmatory applications. I am filing the following confirmatory application with regards to my access to documents request 'Meeting between Commission Representative and Cheniere Energy (May 2024)'.
Thank you kindly for fulfilling my access-to-documents request concerning Cheniere Energy and Cabinet member of Maroš Šefčovič. I am writing to confirm that no resources relating to this meeting (including but not limited to email correspondence/attachments, attendance lists, agendas, background papers, transcripts, recordings, and minutes/notes) have been omitted from your response.
In the email correspondence (document titled 'Ares(2024)3635346 Methane Regulation and US LNG_Redacted.pdf'), the representative from Cheniere refers to two attached documents: 1, "an overview on the key impacts to Global LNG exporters (with emphasis on US LNG) as a result of the EU methane rules", which appears to have been provided by yourselves in the document titled 'Ares(2024)3635346 Annex 4340_001_Redacted.pdf'; and 2, "Cheniere's key issue with Article 27 of the EU methane rule". The second document, and main reason for my initial request, appears missing.
A full history of my request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.asktheeu.org/en/request/meet...
Looking forward to hearing from you on this!
Yours faithfully,
Georgia Oddie
