We  refer  to  your  request  for  access  to  European  Commission  documents  registered  on 
22/05/2023 under the above-mentioned reference number. 
You request access to “All documentation (including but not limited to all email 
correspondence, attendance lists, agendas, background papers, transcripts, recordings 
and minutes/notes) relating to the meeting listed below: 
1. Between ArcelorMittal and Florika FinkHooijer, Director General of Environment on 
the 9th February 2023”. 
 
We identified the following documents as falling within the scope of your application:

Meeting request from ArcelorMital and subsequent mail exchange with the office 
of the Director-General for Environment concerning the practical organisation of 
the meeting (ref. Ares(2023)3898031)

Short  report  of  the  above-mentioned  meeting  of  09/02/2023  (ref. 
Ares(2023)2591911) 
Having  examined  the  documents  requested  under  the  provisions  of  Regulation  (EC)  No 
1049/2001 regarding public access to documents, I have come to the conclusion that both 
documents may be partially disclosed. Some parts of the documents have been blanked out 
as their disclosure is prevented by exception to the right of access laid down in Article 4(1)(b) 
of this Regulation “Protection of privacy and the integrity of individuals”.
