Dear Sir or Madam,

Please pass this on to the person who reviews confirmatory applications.

I am filing the following confirmatory application with regards to my access to documents request 'Meeting between Filomena Chirico and Deutsche Telekom on 29. 06. 2022'.

In particular I'm asking you to review the redaction of "Back to office report, Meeting with Deutsche Telekom, ARES(2022)8492505, (“Document 2”)".

It's not entirely clear to me whose position is reflected in the sentence "The real problem now in DE for deployment is not financing investment but finding construction workers." Is this the Commission's point of view, or is this something Deutsche Telekom has said?

I'd be happy if you could clarify who has said the non-redacted sentences so I can attribute them correctly.

A full history of my request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.asktheeu.org/en/request/meet...

Thank you and best,

Tomas Rudl

Secretariat-General - Access to Documents

sg-acc-doc@ec.europa.eu,

Dear Mr Rudl,

We refer to your email, registered on 20 January 2023, by which you submit
a confirmatory application in accordance with Article 7(2) of Regulation
(EC) No 1049/2001 regarding public access to European Parliament, Council
and Commission documents ("Regulation (EC) No 1049/2001"), registered
under reference number above.

Your confirmatory application is currently being handled. Unfortunately,
we have not yet been able to finalize the internal consultations needed to
carry out a  full analysis of your request and to take a  final decision.
Therefore, we are not in a  position to reply to your confirmatory request
within the prescribed time limit which expires on 10 February 2023.
Consequently, we have to extend this period by another 15 working days in
accordance with Article 8(2) of Regulation (EC) No 1049/2001. The new

We regret this additional delay and sincerely apologise for any

SG.C1 ACCESS TO DOCUMENTS TEAM

sg-acc-doc@ec.europa.eu,

Dear Mr Rudl,

We are reaching out to you regarding your confirmatory application
2022/6060.

We would appreciate if you could clarify whether the purpose of your
request is to ask the Secretariat-General to perform a review of all
redacted parts in document 2 ‘Back to office report Meeting with Deutsche
Telekom, ARES(2022)849250’ in accordance with Article 8 of Regulation (EC)
No 1040/2001, or to merely seek a clarification as to whose position is
reflected in the non-redacted sentence mentioned in your application.

This clarification would enable the Commission to ensure the most
appropriate follow-up of your request. Please note that performing a
review of the initial decision by the Secretariat-General entails the
adoption of a Commission decision, which entitle applicants to institute
court proceedings against the institution and/or make a complaint to the
Ombudsman.

Thank you for your cooperation.

Kind regards,

SG Access to documents Team

Dear Sir or Madam,

thanks for asking. For now, I'd be happy if you could just clarify whose position is reflected in the non-redacted sentence in document 2.

Yours faithfully,
Tomas Rudl

understanding of views expressed by an external participant at the
