Dear Mr Miailhes,

This concerns your request for public access to documents relating to
meetings between Nicola Beer and certain interest representatives.

Please note that Parliament does not hold any documents related to
meetings between Members and third parties, if the meeting was not part of
a parliamentary activity (e.g. in the context of a committee meeting) and
was therefore held without the involvement of Parliament’s administration.
Indeed, Parliament’s administration has no access to Members’ private
offices (see also [1]Rule 122(2) of Parliament’s Rule of Procedure).

The above also applies to documents relating to meetings of former MEPs
with interest representatives. This is the case for Ms Beer, who is no
longer Member of the European Parliament.

Please note that meetings between (former) Members and interest
representatives are published on Members’ websites, for example [2]here in
the case of Ms Beer. Such meeting declarations are regulated by [3]Article
7 of Annex I of the Rules of Procedure of the European Parliament.

Moreover, pieces of correspondence, minutes and any other background
documents from such meetings are usually held by the Member. In this case,
should you wish to have access to such documents, you may get in touch
with the former Member.

On this basis, Parliament considers your application handled and the
procedure closed. Should you wish to submit any new requests for specific
Parliament documents, [4]please do not hesitate to come back to us.

Best regards,
