Meeting on "Steel Sector Crisis and Engagement of the Industry in Future R&I Initiatives"
Dear Sir/Madam,
Pursuant to Regulation (EC) No 1049/2001 regarding public access to European Parliament, Council, and Commission documents, I hereby request access to all documents related to the 27 February 2025 meeting on "Steel sector crisis and engagement of the industry in future R&I initiatives", organized by DG Research and Innovation and attended by Eurofer representatives.
Specifically, I request copies of the following documents:
- All correspondence (emails, letters, briefings, memos) exchanged between DG Research and Innovation and industry representatives or other stakeholders regarding the meeting, both before and after the event.
- Preparatory documents, including briefing notes, agendas, talking points, or background reports prepared ahead of the meeting.
- Presentations (slides, reports, documents) shared during or related to the meeting.
- Meeting notes and minutes, including any conclusions or follow-up actions.
- A list of participants, specifying their roles, affiliations, and any external organizations represented.
- A summary of the topics discussed, covering key concerns, proposed initiatives, or industry feedback on research and innovation policies.
If any documents contain confidential or exempt information, I request that redacted versions be provided where possible. Additionally, if the requested documents are available digitally, I would prefer to receive them electronically.

Hello,
We are writing concerning your request for access to Commission documents
registered on 13/03/2025 under case number EASE 2025/1480.
We are currently working on your request. However, we have not yet been
able to gather all the elements necessary to carry out a full analysis of
your request. We will not be able to send you the reply within the
prescribed time limit expiring on 03/04/2025 as parts of the documents
requested originate from third parties, which have been consulted.
Therefore, in line with Article 7(3) of [1]Regulation (EC) No 1049/2001,
we need to extend this time limit by 15 additional working days. The new
time limit expires on 29/04/2025.
