Dear Ms Roxburgh,
I am writing in reference to your confirmatory application registered on 8 February 2023,
submitted in accordance with Article 7(4) of Regulation (EC) No 1049/2001 regarding public
access to European Parliament, Council and Commission documents 1 (hereafter 'Regulation
(EC) No 1049/2001').
Your confirmatory application was submitted in relation to your initial application of
9 December 2022, registered on the same day, in which you requested access to:
“All documentation (including but not limited to all email correspondence,
attendance lists, agendas, background papers, transcripts, recordings and
minutes/notes) relating to the meeting listed below:
1. Between Flexible Packaging Europe (FPE) and cabinet members of Vice
President Timmermans on the 27th October 2022.
2. Between The European Federation of Corrugated Board Manufacturers
(FEFCO), Confederation of European Paper Industries (Cepi), logos public
affairs (logos), The Alliance for Beverage Cartons and the Environment
(ACE)and cabinet members of Timmermans on the 26th October 2022.
3. Between European Round Table for Industry (ERT) and cabinet members of
Vice President Margrethe Vestager on the 27th September 2022.”

The initial request was assigned the Directorate-General for Environment. As you did not
receive an initial reply within the statutory time limits, you submitted a confirmatory
application on 8 February 2023.
In the meantime, the initial reply in question was sent to you on 14 February 2023 (under
reference number Ares(2023)1058525).
Against this background, the Secretariat-General will close your confirmatory application
related to the lack of initial reply.
You remain entitled to submit a new confirmatory application in accordance with Article 7(2)
of Regulation (EC) No 1049/2001, should you wish to request a review of the initial reply of
14 February 2023.
