Dear Mr Fanta,
We are writing concerning your request for access to Commission documents
registered on 20/02/2026 under case number EASE 2026/1229.
We are currently working on your request. However, we have not yet been
able to gather all the elements necessary to carry out a full analysis of
your request. We will not be able to send you the reply within the
prescribed time limit expiring on 13/03/2026.
For the following reason(s):
• the application concerns different Services, which must be consulted.
Therefore, in line with Article 7(3) of [1]Regulation (EC) No 1049/2001,
we need to extend this time limit by 15 additional working days. The new
time limit expires on 08 April 2026.
We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
Kind regards,
ENEST ACCDOC Team

Dear Mr Fanta,
We are writing concerning your request for access to Commission documents
registered on 20/02/2026 under case number EASE 2026/1229.
In line with Article 6(2) of [1]Regulation (EC) No 1049/2001 regarding
public access to documents, we invite you to send us more detailed
information on the documents you request, such as references, dates or
periods during which the documents would have been drawn up, persons or
bodies who drafted the documents etc.
For example, at the beginning of your request you refer to "any document"
connected to a meeting and at the end of your request you refer to "or any
other document". We would be grateful if you could provide clarity on this
element because "any document" and "any other document" is a very broad
scope. Please be more precise so we can narrow the scope and begin
handling your request as efficiently as possible.
The 15 working days to reply to your request will start running only when
you reply to this message. If you do not reply within 7 working days, we
will close this case in line with our detailed rules for the application
of Regulation (EC) No 1049/2001.
Kind regards,
ENEST ACCDOC Team

Dear Mr Fanta,
We are writing concerning your request for access to Commission documents
registered on 20/02/2026 under case number EASE 2026/1229.
On 30/03/2026 we asked you to clarify the scope of your request since it
was not clear.
Since you have not replied to our clarification request, we could not
start handling it and we have closed this case.
Kind regards,

Dear Neighbourhood and Enlargement Negotiations,
I consider the closure of my request unreasonable. I made a quite clearly defined request that other DGs in the past have had no problem fulfilling. I asked for documents connected to one specific meeting, and made clear the categories of documents I am seeking - more extensive meeting minutes, follow-up e-mails or documents received related to the meeting. I kindly ask to process my request. If you proceed with closing it, I will make a complaint to the Ombudsman.
Yours faithfully,
Alexander Fanta
