Dear DG Clima,
Under the right of access to documents in the EU treaties, as developed in Regulation 1049/2001, I am requesting documents which contain the following information:
1) a list of meetings of DG Clima officials and/or representatives (including the Commissioner and the Cabinet) and representatives of SolarPower Europe;
2) a list of meetings of DG Clima officials and/or representatives (including the Commissioner and the Cabinet) and representatives of EWEA (now WindEurope);
3) minutes and other reports of these meetings;
4) all correspondence (including e-mails) between DG Clima officials and/or representatives (including the Commissioner and the Cabinet) and representatives of SolarPower Europe;
5) all correspondence (including e-mails) between DG Clima officials and/or representatives (including the Commissioner and the Cabinet) and representatives of EWEA (now WindEurope).

Dear Ms Vermander,
We make reference to your emails dated 26 July 2016 in which you request
several documents in relation to following stakeholders:
* SolarPower Europe
* EWEA (now WindEurope)
* GasNaturally
* EUROGAS
* European Gas Research Group (GERG)
* Gas Infrastructure Europe (GIE)
* International Association of Oil and Gas Producers (IOGP)
* International Gas Union (IGU)
* Marcogaz
* NGVA Europe
These stakeholders are primarily concerned with subjects that would be
dealt with by the Directorate General for Energy, we would therefore like
to enquire on which subject in relation to Climate Action you are
searching, so that we may better address your request.
Many thanks in advance for your feedback.
Kind regards,
Danielle SMITH

Dear Ms Smith,
Thank you for your reply.
As regards to the meetings, I would like to see an overview of all meetings that have been held between DG Clima officials and/or representatives (including the Commissioner and the Cabinet) and representatives of above-mentioned organisations. Mentioning who was present at the meeting and the topic(s) discussed. As the idea is to have an overview of all meetings, here I will not highlight specific topics. To make this request more workable, I will not ask for minutes or reports of these meetings for now. If needed, I shall come back with specific requests later on. Please consider my request from January 1st 2014 until present.
When it comes to correspondence between DG Clima officials and/or representatives (including the Commissioner and the Cabinet), and SolarPower Europe and EWEA, it can be limited to correspondence where there is a mention of (natural) gas or LNG.
Further, for correspondence between DG Clima and representatives of GasNaturally or any of its members, primary focus can be on discussions of the Winter Package, the 315b package (mainly Gas Infrastructure or Transmission), Hydrocarbons BREF and the role of Natural Gas in the 2030 Energy and Climate Framework.
In case this application concerns a number of documents too high to process within 15 + 15 working days, I accept a handling of my request in successive stages, prioritizing in the order of the points mentioned in this message.
I hope this helps. Thank you very much in advance for handling this request.
Kind regards,
Marijke Vermander
Dear Ms Vermander,
Thank you for the clarifications in your message dated 28 July 2016.
You request documents as from 1 January 2014.
Please note that the current Commission took office on 1 November 2014,
and Mr Arias Cañete is Commissioner for Climate Action and Energy since
then.
Documents for the period from 1 January to 31 October 2014, pertaining to
the former Commission with Ms Connie Hedegaard as Commissioner for Climate
Action, have been sent to the Historical Archives.
Do you accept that your request starts on 1 November 2014, date on which
the current Commission took office?
Many thanks in advance for your feedback.
Yours faithfully,
Danielle SMITH
