Dear Mr Thomas,
Further to my message earlier today, I would like to thank you for your interest in an introductory meeting with the
leadership of the European Cement Association (CEMBUREAU). The main objective of the meeting would be to
introduce CEMBUREAU to you, presenting briefly our industry, our contribution to the Green Deal and
decarbonisation, as well as our views on the issue of a carbon border adjustment mechanism currently under
discussion.
I propose, if you agree, to have an informal (virtual) meeting in a relatively small circle of attendees (about 4 from
CEMBUREAU side) over the next couple of weeks.
