The Communication on the ‘review of competition policy – fit for new challenges’ is expected to be adopted
around mid-November.
The adoption is currently scheduled for 17 November (see the latest Commission agenda

Following my call earlier today, I am reaching out to you regarding my question on the review of competition
policy.
According to the latest European Commission’s agenda <https://ec.europa.eu/transparency/documents-
register/detail?ref=SEC(2021)2392&lang=en> , a review of competition policy is expected on 27 October.
However, in the State of the Union 2021 letter of intent
<https://ec.europa.eu/info/sites/default/files/state_of_the_union_2021_letter_of_intent_en.pdf> (published
15/09), the review of the competition policy is planned for 2022.
Could you share more information on what the actual timeline for the initiative is and can be expected?
