Thank you for your presentation and the discussion at the Ambrosetti event on the 22nd 
June.   
It was good to meet you and you gave a comprehensive view of the next steps and also 
challenges.   
 
Our short exchange on the fuels industry and its future business models was also 
helpful. As I explained, one of our most important roles leading a business association 
now is to help create opportunities for our members to invest successfully into the 
energy transition. In this sense we often feel more like intermediaries than lobbyists.   
I had several very useful meetings with your late predecessor Mauro Petriccione before 
his untimely passing. Could we meet to continue this dialogue please? Many of the 
points you made are of interest for us, to develop further with our members. 
 
I look forward to meeting soon.
