Dear European External Action Service,

Under the right of access to documents in the EU treaties, as developed in Regulation 1049/2001, I am requesting documents which contain the following information from the EU Delegation in Washington:

- Any documents since March 2014, including briefings, reports, correspondence (email or other), and a list of meetings (also since March 2014) with detailed minutes and any other
reports of such meetings, concerning the regulation of new GM techniques (also called new plant breeding methods or new breeding techniques) within the EU or in the US.

By new GM techniques (or new plant breeding methods/new breeding techniques), we mean those techniques that were the subject of the New Techniques Working Group report (2012) and the subject of various reports by the JRC.

I kindly urge you to not apply a rigid interpretation of the clause on commercial secrets. Should this request be denied wholly or partially, please explain the denial or all deletions referring to specific exemptions in the regulation.

I look forward to a positive consideration of this request.

Yours faithfully,

Nina Holland
