The Farm to  Fork Strategy announces that the Commission will prepare, by the end of 
2022,  a  proposal  for  harmonised  mandatory  front-of-pack  nutrition  labelling  and 
preparatory work is ongoing. 
The Commission will soon launch an impact assessment of the different policy options 
that  will  be  considered. As a  first  step,  the Commission  published  an  inception  impact 
assessment  on  23  December 2020,  which  is  open  for  public  feedback  until  3  February 
20211. I would like to invite you to contribute to this consultation process. 
During this year, stakeholders will have further opportunities to contribute to the process 
towards  the  Commission  proposal  for  harmonised  mandatory  front-of-pack  nutrition 
labelling.
