Dear __ ,
Appreciating you may be very occupied these days, I was wondering whether you or a colleague
in your team had a chance to have a look at my e-mail below from a week ago?
This is also to let you know that we have submitted our FoodDrinkEurope response to the public
consultation yesterday. Should you or your colleagues have any questions, we would of course
be happy to clarify.
Best regards,
-

FIC Inception Impact Assessment and next steps/timeline
Dear ___ ,
Out of scope
We are currently preparing a comprehensive FoodDrinkEurope contribution to the Inception
Impact Assessment (IIA) of the FIC Regulation and, in this regard, we were wondering about the
timeline after the public consultation. Would you be able to give an indication of the timing of the
next steps? I presume you would have to organise a tender for the contractor soon?
Also, we received a specific question about one of the categories that could potentially be
included for assessment as to the possible extension of mandatory origin labelling rules at EU
level, as mentioned in the IIA Roadmap; am I right that for "potatoes", this refers to origin labelling
for
fresh potatoes (as is in place in PL and HU for instance)?
Thank you very much in advance for your reply and looking forward to continue the collaboration
this year.
