Objections to the UK's HGV Road User Levy
Dear European Court of Justice,
Under the right of access to documents in the EU treaties, as developed in Regulation 1049/2001, I am requesting documents which contain the following information:
Whether the European Commission is investigating the legality of the UK government's introduction of the road user levy for HGVs using UK roads.

Just wondered what the status is with my request (dated 19 July) on the UK's HGV Road User Levy?
Would be grateful for an update as the usual deadline for a response has now passed.

Dear Mr Wight,
The European Court of Justice registry has no knowledge of any case brought by the European Commission against the UK concerning the introduction of the road user levy for HGV's.
I would suggest that you contact the European Commission with your question in order to find out whether or not they are indeed carrying out such an investigation.
