Dear Mr Thorgen,

I refer to your request for public access of 28 January 2025, which was
registered under reference Ares(2025)711642. You seek public access to the
European Ombudsman's Outlook calendar for the year 2024. Please note that
the Ombudsman's external engagements are published on our website:

We will deal with your request in accordance with Regulation 1049/2001
regarding public access to EU documents and the Ombudsman’s Decision on
the handling of requests for public access to documents.

In accordance with Article 2(1) of Regulation 1049/2001, only EU citizens
or natural or legal persons residing or having their registered office in
an EU Member State have the benefit of the right of public access to EU
documents.

We would appreciate if you could provide evidence (e.g. ID
card/passport/residence permit in the EU) to confirm that you meet the
criteria above. You can do so by sending an email to
[6][European Ombudsman request email]. If we do not receive your reply by 7 February
2025 COB we will close the request. Please note that the 15 working days
to reply to your request will start running only once we have received
evidence that you meet the criteria above.

We are writing in relation to your request for public access of 28 January

On 31 January 2025, we asked you to provide to us evidence to confirm
whether you meet the requirement under Article 2(1) of Regulation
1049/2001, that is, that you are an EU citizen or resident. We note that
you have failed to provide such evidence to date.

As we have informed you and in the absence of such evidence we have closed
your request.

However, please note that you are free to submit a new request together
with a proof that you meet the requirement above and we will process your
new request in accordance with Regulation 1049/2001.
