Post-employment activity of Ignazio Angeloni
Dear European Central Bank,
Under the right of access to documents in the EU treaties, as developed in Regulation 1049/2001, I am requesting documents which contain the following information:
- Any communications by former Supervisory Board Member Ignazio Angeloni regarding his post-employment activity. This is meant to include his communication of 14 March 2019, as referred to in President Draghi's letter on 8 April 2019 [1], as well as the notification sent to the Ethic Committee by Mr Angeloni, as referred to in a letter by the Ethics Committee on 4 November 2020 [2].
- Any other post-employment exchanges between Mr Angeloni and the ECB. This is meant to include letter, faxes, e-mails, text messages and any other relevant communication.
- Mr Angeloni's most recent declaration of interest pursuant to Article 10 of the Code of Conduct
I note that my request does not pertain to the private life of Mr Angeloni, but his professional conduct. I make this request as a journalist looking into possible cases of misconduct and corruption. Therefore I argue that the exception under Article 4 (1.) (b) under Decision ECB/2004/3 regarding the access to documents does not apply in this case.
