Under the right of access to documents in the EU treaties, as developed in Regulation 1049/2001, I am requesting documents which contain the following information:

Unpublished and published information and documentation relating to the CE and Romania communication ref. NRRP, incl. 07 July 2020. I am particularly interested to learn whether the European Commision informed Romania that a decision was taken regarding the financing of gas plants, gas infrastructure/ transportation or gas exploration and extraction in the Resilience and Recovery Plan.

The documents and information requested pertain possibly not only to The Recovery and Resilience Task Force (RECOVER) but also the European Commission’s Secretariat-General and further European Commission Directorates.

We refer to your e-mail of 15 February in which you make a request for access to documents, registered on 16 February under the reference number GESTDEM 2021/0734.

Your application is currently being handled. However, we will not be in a position to complete the handling of your application within the time limit of 15 working days, which expires on 9 March 2021.
An extended time limit is needed as the internal validation process is still ongoing.
Therefore, we have to extend the time limit with 15 working days in accordance with Article 7(3) of Regulation (EC) No 1049/2001 regarding public access to documents. The new time limit expires on 30 March 2021.
