The request was refused by Competition.

Dear Competition,

Under the right of access to documents in the EU treaties, as developed in Regulation 1049/2001, I am requesting documents which contain the following information:

I request access to all documents (including correspondence, meeting minutes, internal notes, draft papers, and assessments) from 1 January 2021 to the present, concerning:
– Possible state aid, subsidies, or tax advantages for tobacco companies related to e-cigarettes, heated tobacco, or nicotine pouches.
– Complaints, investigations, or discussions of market distortion or unfair competition linked to “harm reduction” products.
– Contacts with Member States or industry representatives regarding competition issues raised by differentiated treatment of alternative nicotine products.

I would like the search to cover the period from 1 January 2021 to the present.

If parts of the requested documents are covered by exceptions under Regulation 1049/2001, I kindly ask for partial access to be granted to the remaining parts. I am also open to receiving the documents in electronic format.

Thank you for your consideration of this request.

Yours faithfully,
