The request was successful.

Nicolas Fafchamps

Dear European Parliament,

Under the right of access to documents in the EU treaties, as developed in Regulation 1049/2001, I am requesting documents which contain the following information:

- any documents that was produced, written, drafted, received for processed by the European Parliament pursuant to Article 17(1) of Regulation 1049/2001/EC which reads as follows "Each institution shall publish annually a report for the preceding year including the number of cases in which the institution refused to grant access to documents, the reasons for such refusals and the number of sensitive documents not recorded in the register."

-thus all the reports produced, written, drafted, received for processed by the European Parliament pursuant to this Article from 2001 until 2016 since these documents are not available in the EP public register. I have attempted to find the first report Review of the implementation within the European Parliament of Regulation (EC) 1049/2001(PE
324.892/BUR.) but was unsuccessful. I would to to emphasize that my request is not limit to the last document mentioned; it is a general request for all reports produced by the EP between 2001 and 2016 pursuant to Article 17 of the aforementioned Regulation.

Yours faithfully,

I also made the request directly on the EP website on the 17th of May 2016. On the 3rd June 2016, the EP directly replied to my private email address with the requested documents. Although I stated in my initial email that I did not find their documents on the EP's website, there are in fact available, but not easy to find because they are on a sub-sub-section of the website. In addition, the 2002, 2003 and 2004 reports are not yet available on the website, thus the Freedom of Information request was necessary to obtain those documents. If anyone need those reports and they were still not available on the EP public register website, please add a note to this Request and I will get in touch with you.
