Further to your request concerning salary and expenses of MEP Mairead
McGuinness from 2005 to 2013, we would like to inform you of the
following:

1. Previous to the entry into effect of the Single Statute in July 2009,
MEPs perceived a salary paid by their Member State of origin. The salary
was the same as the salary paid the national MPs and would differ from
one Member State to the other. We have no information on this. You might
obtain the information contacting the different national Parliaments :

Under the Single Statute, MEPs receive all the same salary paid from
European Parliament's budget. The monthly pre-tax salary is at present
7.956,87 EU.

2. Concerning the allowances paid to MEPs to cover expenditure they
incur in the performance of their parliamentary duties (travel and
accommodation mainly), the amounts they are entitled to are the same for
