Dear Spanish Government,

I am emailing today to ask a question about Smart meters in Spain

I am doing a small research project about European counties smart meter use and I wanted to make sure my information is up to date and accurate with the Spanish Government first.

I read online From 2007 all new electricity meter installations had to be equipped with remote management (smart meter) Spain Concluded its smart meter rollout nation wide by 2017 .

The word 'mandatory' I am questioning
Is there an actual law ?
If you have EHS disability and technology negatively affects your health or if Spanish people simply do not want a smart meter how do People get around this?
Can they opt out ?
Are their exemptions ?
