Moritz Neujeffski

Dear Mobility and Transport,

Under the right of access to documents in the EU treaties, as developed in Regulation 1049/2001, I am requesting documents which contain the following information:

1) minutes and other notes from DG MOVE's meetings (including online meetings) with stakeholders/lobbyists (from February 1 2024 until today) in which the Spanish plan to ban short-distance flights was discussed.

2) all correspondence (including emails and WhatsApp messages) with stakeholders/lobbyists (from February 1 2024 until today) in which the Spanish plan to ban short-distance flights was discussed.

The release of these documents is evidently in the public interest. The transparency guidelines outlined in the Lisbon Treaty mandate that EU institutions operate with maximum openness and proximity to citizens. Additionally, there is considerable significance for the public in this instance, given that it pertains to the authority of public bodies to implement robust and ambitious policy measures aimed at mitigating noise pollution, preventing catastrophic climate change, and similar critical concerns.

Yours faithfully,
Moritz Neujeffski
