I participated in the webinar "EU's IP strategy: Enabler or barrier?",  27 October  
 
The seminar was organized by the European Public Health Al iance (EPHA). 
 
-  I briefly explained the recent work of the Commission on the upcoming initiatives of interest for 
the audience: Pharma strategy, IP action plan and Evaluation of the supplementary protection 
certificate (SPC). 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
-  Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF): 
o 
 
 
   
 
 
o  Over displayed the study of MSF on the SPC claiming that SPCs over-compensate 
blockbusters (note: we cite this study in our SPC evaluation).  
 
-  Medicines for Europe (MfE): 
o 
 
   
o  On the SPC, MfE cal ed for paying attention to the access aspects.
