The designation of Special Advisers is carried out in accordance with the
Rules on Special Advisers to the Commission C(2007) 6655 of 19 December
2007 which list, in annex, a set of documents to be completed. These do
not include a declaration of financial interest.

Given that the requested documents do not exist, your request is devoid of
purpose.

documents concerning the Special Advisers of the Commission who have held
office during 2016.

 

This request will be dealt with as quickly as possible. However, in view
of the specific nature of the documents requested, which contain personal
data within the meaning of Article 2(a) of Regulation No 45/2001, we have
to consult the Special Advisers concerned before deciding on the request.
For this reason, we have to extend the period for the reply by another
period of two weeks, i.e. until 17 January 2017, in accordance with

Since the documents to which you have requested access contain personal
data within the meaning of Article 2(a) of Regulation (EC) No 45/2001 of
the European Parliament and of the Council of 18 December 2000 on the
protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data
by the Community institutions and bodies and on the free movement of such
data, we had to consult all Special Advisers of the Commission about your
request. Until now, we have received 49 replies.

 

We enclose copies of the latest versions of the declarations of activities
and statements of assurance concerning those Special Advisers who have
agreed to the disclosure of the documents.

 

We will still wait for another fortnight for any further replies from the
Special Advisers. You will then receive a complementary reply at the
latest a week later, by 8 February 2017.
