Spending on animal research for (human) medical use

Central Library did not have the information requested.

Dear Central Library,

Under the right of access to documents in the EU treaties, as
developed in Regulation 1049/2001, I am requesting a list of documents which contain the following information:

Annual (or other breakdown) of the spending (monetary) on animal
research in biomedical research and development for the benefit of
clinical (human) medicine (pharmaceutical) in the UK and other EU
countries.

Yours faithfully,

Susan Green

Dear Ms Green,

Thank you for your email of 14 march 2013 in which you request information
on spending on animal research, biomedical research and development in the
UK and other EU countries.

It is very specialist information and it is unlikely that documents held
in the Central Library of the European Commission refer to such matters.

However, we are pleased to inform you that our catalogue is available
online at:  http://ec.europa.eu/eclas/. We suggest you to first browse the
Thesaurus (http://ec.europa.eu/eclas/F/?func=find-b...) to
select the relevant words used as subjects in the catalogue and launch a
search through them (in advanced search mode).

If you wish to borrow or use Central Library material outside the Library
building, please contact your institution's library or public library to
arrange the loan of the material on your behalf.

In addition to our online catalogue, you may wish to consult the EurLex
portal which gives access to EU law
(http://eur-lex.europa.eu/en/index.htm)

and the N-Lex gateway (http://eur-lex.europa.eu/n-lex/index_en....) which
provides access to national law.

We hope that this information will be useful to you.

Yours sincerely
