Subsidies in the United Kingdom
Dear Competition,
1. On the subject of the subsidies obligations agreed with the UK in the recent Trade and Cooperation Agreement (“EU-UK Trade Agreement”) please confirm whether:
a. the transparency requirements are a mandatory compliance requirement in the EU-UK Trade Agreement?
b. the requirements are met within the EU by funding bodies publishing information on the State aid Reporting Interactive website?
Yours faithfully,

Dear Sir,
We refer to your e-mail dated 07/06/2021 in which you enquire about the
transparency requirements in the Subsidy Control chapter of the EU-UK
Trade and Cooperation Agreement (Chapter 3 of Title XI). These
transparency requirements are notably detailed in Article 369. Just like
any other articles of the EU-UK Trade and Cooperation Agreement, the
requirements of Chapter 3 of Title XI are binding on both Parties, namely
the EU and the UK.
The European Union is publishing the information requested by Article 369
notably, but not only, on its [1]State Aid Transparency registry.
Yours faithfully,
Eddy De Smijter
