INTPA-DOSSIERS-ACCES@ec.europa.eu,

Dear Ms Bescherer,

Thank you for agreeing to the proposed fair solution and for providing us
with the list of documents. Upon reviewing the list you provided, we
noticed that it contains 4 documents marked as "out of scope." In the
initial list of identified documents we shared with you, there are
registering numbers (in the format Ares(year)number) that encompass
multiple documents. We included all of them in the list to provide you
with an overview of all the documents under the relevant registered files.
However, during our initial analysis, we deemed some documents as not
relevant to your request and thus marked them as "out of scope."

The documents marked as out of scope included in your selection are the
following:

•           8.4. Annex Interim report 1 – Email exchange : email exchanges
between INTERPOL and the European Commission on the content of the
Financial Report (under identified documents with number 8.7.) and on the
Progress report (under identified documents with number 8.9.).

•           9.5. Annex Letter by Interpol – Equipments shipment: cover
letter by Interpol on the shipment of equipment.

•           21.1. Main note Senegal: cover letter of the transmission of
identified documents under numbers 21.2, 21.3, 21.4 and 21.5.

•           23.1. Main Note The Gambia: cover letter of the transmission
of identified documents under numbers 23.2, 23.3, 23.4 and 23.5.

We kindly request confirmation from your end regarding whether you still
wish to request access to these documents or if you prefer to exchange
them for others from the list initially shared. We hope that the
information on the content above may prove beneficial, and we remain
available to assist you further in selecting documents if needed.

Additionally, we seek confirmation on whether you have been receiving
communications from the AsktheEU platform without issue, or if you are
still experiencing communication difficulties on this side that
necessitate duplicating communications to your university email address..

Your prompt response would be greatly appreciated, preferably by close of
business today, to facilitate the processing of the documents.

Kind regards,

INTPA A.3 secretariat

Dear International Partnerships,

Thanks for this clarification and your prompt reply. I would still be interested in the following:
8.4. Annex Interim report 1 – Email exchange : email exchanges between INTERPOL and the European Commission on the content of the Financial Report (under identified documents with number 8.7.) and on the Progress report (under identified documents with number 8.9.).

but the other 3 documents you mention could be exchanged for:
35.5 Annex Rapport interne MAURITANIE 11.2019
36.5 Annex Rapport interne NIGER 11.2019
28.4 Annex INTERPOL progress report COTE IVOIRE

I can confirm that I am so far receiving your messages for this specific request via AsktheEU without issue, as delivery seems to be working it is fine for this request if you just reply via AsktheEU if it is simpler.

However, for a different, previous request I still have not received further information from you regarding my confirmatory application or even a confirmation of receipt, I'm unsure whether this is due to a delivery issue: EASE 2023/0839 ( https://www.asktheeu.org/en/request/impl... ). You were asked to reply by the European Ombudsman at latest by March 22nd. I would much appreciate for request EASE 2023/0839 if you could continue to send a copy to my university email due to the non-receipt of several previous responses.

Yours faithfully,

Kelly Bescherer

Dear International Partnerships,

Please pass this on to the person who reviews confirmatory applications.

I am filing the following confirmatory application with regards to my access to documents request 'Support to the strengthening of police information systems in the broader West. Africa region (WAPIS)'.

I first made an access to information request on February 13th. I afterwards replied to several clarification requests and agreed to a fair solution proposal, indicating a selection of documents I would be interested in, most recently on April 13th 2024. I afterwards received a message from you via email on April 29th 2024 stating that third party/MS consultations were requiring additional time.

I have since then received no further updates or prolongations of the deadline, which has long since passed. I therefore urgently request that you comply with the access to information request.

A full history of my request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.asktheeu.org/en/request/supp...

Yours faithfully,

Kelly Bescherer
