supporting document / comments on Proposal by the ECHA in support of occupational exposure limit values for Benzene
Dear European Chemicals Agency,
Under the right of access to documents in the EU treaties, as developed in Regulation 1049/2001, I am requesting the following document:
The non-confidential letter sent by ‘Concawe’ to the Committee for Risk Assessment (RAC) of the European Chemicals Agency in 2017 and entitled ‘Concawe letter to RAC concerning Benzene OEL.pdf’. This letter was sent by Concawe to the ECHA as part of their comments on the Proposal by the European Chemical Agency (ECHA) in support of occupational exposure limit values for Benzene in the workplace started on 10/10/2017 and ending on 07/11/2017”.
I would like to make clear I prefer you produce the documents on a rolling basis.
At no point should the Commission’s search for—or deliberations concerning—certain documents delay the production of others that the Commission has already retrieved and elected to produce.
To the extent possible, I would prefer the documents in electronic format but if that is not possible please use the following postal address:
VOLUMES Coworking
78 Rue Compans, 75019 Paris
France
Should my request be denied wholly or partially, please explain the denial or all deletions referring to specific exemptions in the regulation. Also I expect the partial release of documents, in case of partial exemption according to article 4.6.
I reserve the right to appeal.
Please confirm having received this application. I look forward to your reply within 15 business days, according to the regulation.
Yours faithfully,
Agathe Bounfour

Dear ECHA Occupational Exposure Limits,
Thank you for your response to my request.
I understand some of the information that falls under my request is partially missing :
- responses and follow ups on email sent on June 29 by an ECHA official mentioning a meeting with Concawe executives to discuss their activities on Benzene
-any briefings , exchanges or minutes related to that meeting.
I would like to make clear I prefer you produce the documents on a rolling basis.
At no point should the ECHA’s search for—or deliberations concerning—certain documents delay the production of others that the Commission has already retrieved and elected to produce.
