Technical and operational resources provided to Romania (2015-2022)
Dear European Border and Coast Guard Agency,
Under the right of access to documents in the EU treaties, as developed in Regulation 1049/2001, I am requesting documents which contain the following information:
1. Operational Support and Assets:
Documents or datasets specifying the annual technical equipment and human resources deployed by Frontex to Romania between 2015 and 2022. This includes, but is not limited to:
The number of officers from the Standing Corps (or former Guest Officers) deployed annually in Romania;
The list of technical assets (patrol cars, thermovision vehicles, surveillance equipment, aircraft/drones) deployed under Joint Operations (e.g., JO Terra, JO Flexible Activities, or others relevant to the Romanian borders).
2. Financial Allocations and Grants:
Annual reports or breakdown tables regarding the financial contributions provided by Frontex to the Romanian Border Police (PFR) for:
Maintenance and fuel costs for assets participating in Frontex operations;
Co-financing of technical equipment purchased by Romania through Frontex-managed funds;
Budgetary allocations for Joint Return Operations (JROs) organized or supported by Romania.
3. Vulnerability Assessments:
The "Executive Summaries" or "Final Reports" of the annual Vulnerability Assessments conducted by Frontex for Romania for the period 2015-2022, specifically focusing on the recommendations for equipment and resource upgrades.
4. Strategic and Capacity Building:
Documents mentioning the specific training programs and the number of Romanian border guards trained under Frontex programs during the requested period.

I would prefer to receive these documents in electronic format (PDF/Excel). If some of these documents are already public, please provide the specific links to the Public Register.
Context of the request:
This request is made for academic research purposes as part of a doctoral thesis.
