Dear Health and Food Safety,

Under the right of access to documents in the EU treaties as developed in Regulation 1049/2001, I would like to request access to the following documents relating to the Implementing Acts for Regulation (EU) 2019/6 on veterinary medicinal products - referred to in Article 5 and 6 of the Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2023/905 (https://eur-lex.europa.eu/legal-content/...), namely the List of Approved Countries and Official Certificates for imports of animal products.

I would like to request:
1) The Commission’s letter to third countries asking for guarantees in the form of a written declaration issued by the relevant competent authorities in the third country, in relation to its development of the list of Approved Countries and Official Certificates for imports of animal products.
2) All third country declarations provided.

If unclear, the documents are referred to in Slide 11 of this presentation: https://food.ec.europa.eu/system/files/2...

I would like to receive this information electronically.

Should my request be denied wholly or partially, please explain the denial or all deletions referring to specific exemptions in the regulation. Also I would expect the partial release of documents in case of partial exemption according to article 4.6. I reserve the right to appeal.

Please confirm having received this application. I look forward to your reply within 15 business days, according to the regulation.

If anything is unclear or would benefit from further discussion please do not hesitate to contact me.

With thanks,
Clare Carlile
