Use of automated tools in EPSO recruitment procedures
Under the right of access to documents in the EU treaties, as developed in Regulation 1049/2001, I am requesting documents which contain the following information:
In particular, I would like to request access to:
Any internal guidelines, policies, or instructions governing the use of automated or algorithmic tools in the screening, evaluation, or ranking of candidates;
Documentation describing the functioning, purpose, or scope of such tools, where applicable;
Any data protection impact assessments, risk assessments, or evaluations carried out in relation to automated decision-making in recruitment processes;
Any references or documents addressing safeguards to ensure fairness, non-discrimination, and equal treatment in the use of such technologies.
This request is made in the interest of transparency, particularly regarding the processing of candidates’ personal data and the safeguards in place to ensure fair and equal treatment in EU recruitment procedures.

Dear Ms Friscic,
Your application is currently being handled. However, we will not be in a
position to complete the handling of your application within the time
limit of 15 working days, which expires today.
An extended time limit is needed as the application concerns documents
held by different Services, which must be consulted.
Therefore, we have to extend the time limit by 15 working days in
accordance with Article 7(3) of Regulation (EC) No 1049/2001 regarding
public access to documents. The new time limit expires on 12/05/2026.
