Whistleblowing reports received in 2025

I would like to know the number of reports under the "whistleblowing" directive received by EIOPA in 2025. Please classify they disclosures by EU legislative file, ie IDD, Solvency II etc.

As you may be aware, the European Ombudsman has clarified that the right of public access to documents applies to EU citizens and residents, as stated in paragraph 13 of the Decision in cases 1500/2019/TM and 1600/2019/TM, in relation to Article 2(1) of Regulation 1049/2001. This means that EIOPA is not obligated to extend this right to non-EU nationals and non-residents.
In line with the Ombudsman's Decision, as a Union public authority, EIOPA is entitled to request evidence of an applicant's EU citizenship or residency status. To proceed with your request, we kindly ask that you provide a copy of your identity document demonstrating your EU citizenship or, alternatively, proof of your EU residency.
Please note that we cannot process your request until we receive this documentation.

Thank you for your email. In the interest of transparency, EIOPA proceeds to handle your request for access to documents. We have carefully reviewed it and would like to inform you that we do not possess readily available documents that match the description provided in your request. In particular, there is no available document with the requested information itemisation concerning the number of reports under the "whistleblowing" directive received by EIOPA in 2025, disclosures classification by EU legislative file, i.e. IDD, Solvency II, etc.
In accordance with Article 2(3) of Regulation (EC) 1049/2001, the right of access to documents only applies to existing documents in the possession of EIOPA. Furthermore, as per Article 10(3) of this Regulation, the right of public access to documents does not impose any obligation to create nor compile a new document to meet your request. Since no such documents have been identified, EIOPA is not in a position to respond positively to your request.
