Dear Ms Baas,
We refer to your two e-mails dated 4 September 2025 by which you request
access to around 23 documents.
These requests, concerning some documents initially covered also by your
first application (EASE 2025/4182), are made after your agreement with our
Fair solution proposal, but not after the expiry of the extended deadline
agreed.
We reassure you that your request EASE 2025/4182 is being actively handled
– we are the moment assessing the documents and the consultations of the
third parties from which the requested documents originate are ongoing.
You should normally receive the reply to you request within the extended
deadline of 15 + 15 working days from the date or registration of your
request, as indicated in our Fair solution proposal of 28 August 2025
(reference: Ares(2025)6739884). As indicated in our letter sent to you on
2 September (Ares(2025)7123298), that deadline is 29 September.
As also indicated in the Fair solution proposal, the Commission cannot
privilege one applicant and has to guarantee that all the requests are
dealt with within the deadlines of Regulation 1049/2001.
For that reason, we regret to inform you that your e-mails received on 4
September 2025 are not at this stage registered in EASE as new requests.
We invite you instead, as indicated in our fair solution proposal, to file
a new request for access to documents, regarding the other cases you are
interested in, after the extended deadline of the request EASE 2025/4182.
You can also do it via the Commission’s dedicated portal:
[1]https://www.ec.europa.eu/transparency/do... (which
facilitates the processing of requests).
